Job Description:

Professional Qualifications: 

• Registration and a valid practicing license with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council
• Additional certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are an added advantage.

Experience: 

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a primary healthcare setting or hospital environment.
• Experience in outpatient and emergency care preferred.

Special Skills Needed:

• Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Good team player with a compassionate approach.
• Proficiency in medical documentation and reporting.
• Knowledge of health information systems and electronic medical records.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Conduct comprehensive medical examinations and assessments of patients.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of health conditions.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments.
• Provide health education and counseling to patients.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Participate in health promotion and disease prevention activities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
• Assist in the development and review of clinical protocols and policies.
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards and healthcare regulations.
• Deliver high-quality medical services to all patients.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Report any adverse events or clinical concerns to the supervising physician or Medical Officer-in Charge.
• Participate in continuing medical education and training programs.
• Contribute to the efficient functioning of the medical team.
