Reporting to Supply Chain Officer – Warehouse, the Supply Chain volunteer is responsible for the efficient coordination and management of all warehousing, assets and inventory management functions for IRC’s office in Imvepi. 

Duties and Responsibilities.  

Warehousing and Inventory

• Receive completed store request forms and prepare the goods for issuance.   

• Ensure goods, equipment’s are signed for receiving on the request form (office expendables) or waybill (all other items).

• Carryout stock taking at warehouse level. 

• Prepare monthly report for the expendables store outlining all stock movements and remaining balances.

• On a monthly basis, work with the Supply Chain Officer to reconcile the Warehouse reports and Asset tracking sheet and equipment issuance forms.

• Update the stock record cards regularly.

• Conduct routine inventory inspection and submit report to the Supply Chain Officer in a timely manner.

• Work on any other task assigned by the Supply Chain Officer.

Asset Management

• Update the Asset register and inventory list and work closely with SCO to share the monthly reports.

• Monitor security of IRC’s assets and supplies.

• Receive completed store’s request forms and prepare the assets for issuance.   

• Ensure assets are signed for received on the Equipment issue and receipt form.

• On a monthly basis, work with the Supply Chain Officer & in collaboration with IT to reconcile the asset register and Asset tracking sheet and equipment issuance forms.

• Update the asset register regularly.

• Conduct routine asset inspection and submit reports to the Supply Chain Officer and and in collaboration with IT staff in a timely manner.

• Keep an accurate and up-to-date record of asset inward and outward movement in the Asset register.

• Work on any other task assigned by the Supply Chain Officer.

Fleet Management 

• Work with the Supply Chain Assistant- Fleet and Head driver to ensure that all vehicles carry the required on-board documentation and that all documents are kept current (including insurance). 

• Inspect and record condition of vehicles by maintaining daily checklists file.

• Ensure all vehicles are properly cleaned daily. 

• Work on any other task assigned by the Supply Chain assistant.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Diploma in Procurement and Logistics Management or Equivalent to any social science course 

• Knowledge of generic warehouse management systems and forms.

• Physically mobile, able to lift 30kg without strain.

The Marketing and Communications Manager is part of an important team that creates and executes property-level communications to our customers. Under the leadership of the Director of Marketing and Communication, this role promotes on-brand messaging to customers through traditional, digital, and social media channels all with the goal of enhancing the image of the hotel. This role helps build direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activated channels to the end of driving consumer awareness and preference, increasing market share, and building broader portfolio and brand awareness. This role focuses on showcasing Food and Beverage promotions, both to hotel guests and to local patrons. As part of the Marketing and Communication team, this role is fully connected into resources in their region; Marketing and Communication Managers liaise and build deep partnerships with their regional eCommerce and Marketing teams to verify all local, social, and digital marketing efforts are effectively integrated with the selling efforts for the organization. This role also gets to do a little bit of everything, from balancing traditional and digital marketing and eCommerce activities to contributing to public relations (PR) activities for the hotel. Success is measured by how well they help drive the sales and revenue strategy of the property, social media engagement and also by how effectively leveraged the resources around them are to create truly compelling marketing and communications campaigns.

POSITION SUMMARY

Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures. Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information. Apply data mining techniqes and conduct statistical analysis to large, structured and unstructured data sets to understand and analyse phenomena. Model complex business problems, discovering insights and opportunities through statistical, algorithmic, machine learning and visualisation techniques, working closely with clients, data and technology teams to turn data into critical information used to make sound business decisions. Execute intelligent automation and predictive modelling.

• Builds machine learning models from and utilises distributed data processing and analysis methodologies. Competent in Machine Learning programming in R or Python, with supplementary still in Matlab, Java, etc. Familiar with the Hadoop distributed computational platform, including broader ecosystem of tools such as HDFS / Spark / Kafka.
• Provides input into Data management and modelling infrastructure requirements and adheres to the organisations infrastructure development processes, including the management of User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Conducts regression testing across all relevant systems as required.
• Ensure business integration through integrating model outputs into end-point production systems, where requirements must be understood and adopted relating to data collection, integration and retention requirements incorporating business requirements and knowledge of best practices.
• Acts as a subject matter expert from a data science perspective and provides input into all decisions relating to data science and the use thereof. Educate the organisation on data science perspectives on new approaches, such as testing hypotheses and statistical validation of results. Ensure ongoing knowledge of industry standards as well as best practice and identify gaps between these definitions/data elements and organisation data elements/definitions.
• Directs the gathering of data for use in Data Science models, ensuring that chosen datasets best reflect the organisations goals. Performs data pre-processing including data manipulation, transformation, normalisation, standardisation, visualisation and derivation of new variables/features. Utilises advanced data analytics and mining techniques to analyse data, assessing data validity and usability; reviews data results to ensure accuracy and communicates results to Stakeholders.

Qualifications

• First Degree in Information Technology, Information studies or related from a recognised Institution
• Post Graduate Degree in Information Technology, Information studies is preferred.
• Proficiency in application and web development. Structured and Unstructured Query languages e.g. SQL, Qlikview; Tableau; SSIS SSRS, Python JSON , C#, Java, C++, HTML
• 1-2 years proven development experience in software and software engineering. Understanding of financial services data processes, systems, and products, experience in technical business intelligence. Knowledge of IT infrastructure and data principles project management experience. Exposure to governance and regulatory matters as it relates to data. Experience in building models (credit scoring, propensity models, churn, etc.).
• 3-5 years experience working with unstructured data (e.g. Streams, images) Understanding of data flows, data architecture, ETL and processing of structured and unstructured data. Using data mining to discover new patterns from large datasets. Implement standard and proprietary algorithms for handling and processing data.

LIFENET INTERNATIONAL/ UGANDA is recruiting a (Ugandan National) short-term Management Trainer who will be responsible for; supporting capacity building at partner health facilities through a high-quality medical training and mentorship program, ensuring the LifeNet standard curriculum is effectively delivered towards improved maternal and child health service delivery and outcomes.

Responsibilities

Planning and budgeting

● Lead the development of the annual cohort-specific workplan and budget for the medical centralized training workshops and mentorship program in consultation with the program and finance managers.

● Monitor spending against budget lines for training activities and support budget re-forecasts biannually as needed.

● Prepare and adequately coordinate centralized training workshops ensuring training materials, venue and logistics are procured in a timely manner.

● Develop clear Scopes of Work (SOWs) for all training and mentorship activities.

Training and Mentorship

● Prepare and facilitate centralized medical training workshops using adult learning methodologies as per the annual work plan.

● Conduct regular on-site mentorships, follow-ups, and clinical supervision visits at partner health facilities to ensure practice change and adherence to quality standards as per the workplan.

● Supports HF partners to have online e-learning accounts to participate in online learning and to engage them and follow up to ensure compliance.

● Identify training gaps and emerging issues and use them to inform the next training sessions. 1

● Provide technical assistance for curriculum reviews and accreditation processes and assist in regularly adapting the curriculum to the local context.

● Represent LifeNet at district, diocese and health facility meetings as need arises.

● Identify trends, areas of unmet need, and other issues of concern, and recommend strategies to effect sustainable change in health facilities.

● Contribute to the collection and basic analysis of partner health facility monthly medical data and give supportive advice to the health facility leadership where gaps are identified.

● Participate in maternal and neonatal death audits at partner health facilities and share with the facilities strategies to mitigate these deaths.

● Continuously assess individual health facility capacity-building needs, strengths, and opportunities.

Reporting and Documentation

● Prepare timely, accurate, and complete monthly, bi-annual and annual reporting in line with LifeNet Uganda (LNU) standards.

● Submit timely back to office and accountability reports at the end of each activity.

● Document and share success stories and case studies to demonstrate program impact.

● Prepare and disseminate annual reports for key stakeholders, including church partners, local government authorities, and other implementing partners.

● Participate in stakeholder meetings at diocesan, district, and national levels, representing LifeNet as need arises.

● Integrate data feedback into the routine mentorship and support supervision visits at each health facility visit.

Partner Development

● Ensure smooth relations with partner health facilities and districts.

● Attend district and diocesan technical meetings as needed.

● Build good relations with all the stakeholders and maintain LifeNet’s image.

● Maintain compliance with local church partners and health regulatory authorities.

● Support the Program Manager and Country Director to identify and develop opportunities to leverage support and resources that will contribute to, or further the objectives of the program.

Qualifications

● Comprehensive Nursing Degree/ Midwifery (Bachelor or equivalent) and a current registered license.

● A post graduate qualification (Masters or Diploma) in administration management or equivalent from a recognized University/Institution is an added advantage.

● An excellent knowledge of English and strong knowledge in computer use (Microsoft, Excel).

● A minimum of 4 years of direct experience in patient care, experience in teaching is a plus.

● A minimum of 1 years’ experience in team supervision.

● Proven skills in leading staff, excellent coordination skills.

Reporting to the Regional Programme Manager – North, the person provides technical assistance and oversight for the UNICEF Project. The job holder provides overall programmatic and operational lead and management, including planning, implementation, partnership and contract management, compliance with SC and donor regulations, human resource management and development and capacity enhancement, monitoring/ evaluation, budget and financial management, and reporting both internally (within SCI) and externally (with partners).
