ENGIE Energy Access (EEA) is looking for an experienced and mission-driven leader to for our operations in Uganda. As the Country Director in Uganda, you are ultimately accountable in country for all aspects of EEA Uganda’s work including SHS and mini-grids. You will own the opportunity of leading and growing a high-performing team of over 200 (including a young and vibrant leadership team) and further scaling and diversifying our business by building out the operations for optimal geographical coverage of Uganda, consolidating and leading our mini-grid business, developing government relationships, and ensuring the business’s long-term strategic and financial sustainability.

JOB PURPOSE:

To conceptualize, plan for and produce TV programmes that educate, inform, entertain and earn revenue for Nation Media Group Uganda.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conceptualize programme ideas and come up with a storyboard and scripts for internal/external broadcasts and for clients.
• Create the overall aesthetic visual presentation and branding of assigned shows while following the programme guidelines and concept.
• Plans production with crew, clients, decides schedules and timelines.
• Liaises with the technical staff to produce raw footage for editing in conformity with the programme concept and client brief.
• Monitor in-house creative and technical units in the development, production and post-production of programmes.
• Create and manage the production budget of the assigned programme.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Academic: University degree in Mass Communication or any related field from an accredited institution.

Professional: Diploma in TV Production is added advantage.

About the Job

The Communication and Prevention Manager based in Kampala  is the focal point for all matters related to public and Movement communications and Prevention for the URB Delegation. S/he is responsible for setting and implementing priorities, objectives and strategies. S/he reviews the organisation of the communication and Prevention department and set-up of URB, helps design and implement an integrated set-up across the three sites of URB delegation. S/he directs the orientation, planning, monitoring and evaluation of the delegation’s communication and prevention, acts as spokesperson and provides technical support and supervision to all staff involved in public and Movement communications and prevention on ICRC sites in Burundi, Uganda and Rwanda. S/he contributes to building and implementing an approach in which communication and prevention activities are integrated into other ICRC programmes.

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.

• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 2 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.

The ICT Support Assistant will support in delivering IT functions by maintaining IT systems and infrastructure across HFHU. The role involves first-line user support, basic troubleshooting, hardware and software maintenance, data backup monitoring, and ICT inventory updates to ensure effective digital operations across the National Office and field locations

The job holder will provide excellent customer service, repair faulty customer units, manage spare part stock and meet monthly sales and revenue targets within the Service Centre in a designated region.

R&Rs

• Daily management of pending work orders and close looping with customers for delivery by service tracking desk.
• Ensure all customers worked on pay post repair
• Continuous ticketing training for the field team
• Assigning Field Technicians for high value customers who are not able to visit the Service center.
• Optimizing on Field technicians through allocation of tickets from Service tracking desk and regional service centers.
• Sustain monthly spare parts demand forecasting at the service centers.
• Implementing new OOW policy with key focus on Minimum Payment Based on customer category.
• Ensuring Inventory Accuracy for spares and finished goods at the service centers
• Continuous monthly demand forecasting & ordering for spare parts
• Ensure that spare parts are moved by consignment with accompanying accurate paper work
• Ensure 100% compliance of used spare parts return for analysis at Refurbishment Center
• Circulate a monthly stock take summary, showing issued, used and any variance on spares
